MyGenie provides mobile applications for people working on our projects: Saathi, used by MyGenie project teams, and MyGenie Partner, used by our vendors and partner contractors. These are workplace applications. An account issued by MyGenie is required to sign in, and they are not intended for general public use. This section describes information handled by those applications specifically.
You sign in using your mobile phone number. We store your name, phone number, internal user identifier and your role or site assignments so the application can show you the work relevant to you.
Location is a Saathi feature. With your permission, Saathi collects your device's approximate and precise location when you record site attendance or capture site photographs, so that those records can be confirmed against the correct project location. Location is collected only while the application is open and in use. We do not collect location in the background and we do not track your movements when the application is closed. The MyGenie Partner application does not request or collect location.
With your permission, the applications use your device camera to capture site photographs, progress and manpower records, snag reports and similar project evidence. Where you record video, the device microphone is used to capture the audio forming part of that recording. We do not record audio separately from video and the applications do not listen in the background.
The applications allow you to upload project documents and to download reports such as daily progress reports and purchase records. Files you download are saved to your device storage so that you can open them.
We record standard technical information such as application version, device type, operating system version and event logs, used to diagnose faults and keep the service working.
The MyGenie Partner application uses PostHog, a product analytics service hosted in the European Union, to record how the application is used — screens opened, actions taken and similar interaction events, and it may capture session recordings of your use of the application. This activity is associated with your MyGenie user identifier, and where available your vendor identifier and language preference. We use it only to understand how the application is used, to improve it and to diagnose faults.
The Saathi application does not include this analytics service.
Each permission is requested at the point it is needed. You may decline any permission, or withdraw it later in your device settings, though the related features will not work without it.
Information recorded through the applications is used to authenticate you, give you access to your assigned projects, record site attendance, daily progress reports, material and payment requests, quality audits and snags, attach location and time information so that project records are accurate and auditable, generate reports for project and client reporting, and to diagnose faults and protect the service against misuse.
We do not use this information for advertising, we do not sell it, and the applications contain no third-party advertising software development kits. The only third-party analytics service used is the one described under Analytics above.
This section applies to the Saathi and MyGenie Partner applications published by MyGenie Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Accounts are created and managed by MyGenie for people working on our projects. To request deletion of your account and associated personal information:
What is deleted: your account and sign-in credentials, your name, mobile number and email address, and your profile and role assignments. Once deleted you can no longer sign in.
What is retained: project records you created while working on a MyGenie project — site attendance entries, daily progress and manpower reports, site photographs and video, quality audits, snags, and payment, imprest and purchase records. These are business and financial records of the project rather than personal profile data, and we are required to keep them.
How long: retained records are kept for the duration of the project and then for the period required by applicable Indian law. Financial records — including payment, imprest and purchase records — are preserved for not less than eight financial years, as required by section 128 of the Companies Act, 2013. Other project records, such as site attendance, daily progress and manpower reports, site photographs and quality audits, are kept for the same period where they support those financial records or the contractual record of the project. Where a record is no longer required for those purposes, it is deleted.
